Travel itinerary sample

We just returned from Darjeeling-Sikkim and enjoyed it very much. We had our Tour arranged by Clubside Tour and Travels (recommended by Lonely Planet, you find them on Google), and had a very competent driver and guide team, a skilled driver with whom we felt sure also in critical situations and a very knowledgable guide (Penjo Sherpa) with good English. They came to take us in Bagdogra after our flight from Delhi. We stayed in Darjeeling at the Seven Seventeen, a fabulous place with mountain view (as well recommended by Lonely Planet) and a typical Tibetan flair to it and good food. Even if you have a room with Mountain View, we recommend the Sunrise on Tiger Hill, as you can see the whole range from there at one glance. In Darjeeling we did the usual program, Ghoom Monastery, Tibetan Refugee Center, Himalayan Mountaineering Ins. and Zoo. Then we transfered to Gangtok, where we stayed at the Anola, just in the center of town. it's on M.G. Marg, the main business avenue (not very busy, closed for traffic from 16.30 h to 20.00 h for pedestrians), a very good location. The hotel is basic, but very friendly and you feel at home the moment you enter. In Gangtok, dont miss the Rumtek Monastery. We drove then on to Kalimpong, where we stayed at the Kalimpong Park Hotel, a very relaxing and comfortable 3-stars facility and half way back to Bagdogra Airport. We did the whole tour in 5 days as a part of our 3-weeks India Holiday.
